Expect classics from Seán Ó Riada, The Chieftains, Planxty, Christy Moore, The Bothy Band, Horslips, and modern bangers from Cormac Begley, The Mary Wallopers, Lankum, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Ross Ainslie, and a selection of world folk from Scotland to the Middle East and beyond.
Trad Rave has played regular headline sets over the last four years at festivals and clubs, including Glastonbury and Galway Arts Festival in 2024, with stage and area-closing sets at Electric Picnic, All Together Now, and Beyond the Pale. Formed four years ago, Trad Rave explores how DJ techniques from club DJing and turntablism can bring traditional music to life in festival and nightclub settings—earning rapturous receptions wherever they play.
Colm Olwill (aka DJ PCP) grew up on ballads and beats. A mainstay of the Irish and UK festival circuit, he runs The Gramophone Disco and The Haunt at Electric Picnic, as well as the legendary Hole-in-the-Ground Piano Bar at Glastonbury. Spinning records and running raves, free parties, and clubs since the early ’90s, he is passionate about developing new DJing concepts—creating innovative musical juxtapositions to shock and delight audiences.
